Denim Dreamin'...

From time to time, denim has its Back in Trend moments. For some of us, it never really goes out of fashion, and for some of us it is the last thing on our mind...

Denim has been an American staple since the late 18th century. Originally, it was colored blue with indigo dye, and made in Nimes, France, which is why we call it denim (de Nimes). The first "jeans," which were denim trousers, were made in Genoa, Italy, which explains the name origin (Genes). Denim was exclusively used in menswear, but during the 20th century it spread to women's fashion as well.
This summer, my favourite denim piece is a vest with studded back detailing, and for this photoshoot I paired it with a similar colored lace dress and some edgy cross jewelry.
